Welcome to Yorkshire; the capital of cycling in the UK

City to Coast cycle tours from 2018

Tour North Yorkshire

Come and see for yourself why Yorkshire has become the cycling capital of Britain; ride the iconic routes of Le Grand Depart and the Tour de Yorkshire. Challenge yourself in the Dales on Buttertubs Pass, the 'Col de Cray' and Grinton Moor. See why the Tour de France didn't think it would be safe to include the notorious Chimney Bank and have a go at some of the lesser known, but nonetheless incredibly difficult ascents on the North York Moors.

Alternatively you can relax and roll your wheels around the gentle Yorkshire Wolds taking in one of the County's famous Gastro pubs or tea rooms along the way.

Amazing Adventures

If it’s a few ideas for routes and challenges you are looking for, look no further. We know the North York Moors National Park like the back of our hands and have created some amazing routes for you to ride, and you can even compete with others for the Strava leaderboard if that is what drives you. Fancy yourself as KOM or QOM on our ‘Magnificent 7’? Good luck, it’s a beast of a ride over 85 miles and 9000ft + of elevation… all 7 of the iconic climbs include a 25% gradient, and a couple of them are over 30%!
You can upload a GPX file to your Garmin or load the Strava route to your smartphone, either way we promise you won't be disappointed.
But don't panic, there are also less gruelling routes, we’ve graded them 1-5 in difficulty so you won't find yourself calling for a taxi half way round.

If you're unsure, just drop us a line via the form on the contact page for further info.

Designed with you in mind

Not all our tours have fixed itineraries. If you have an idea where you would like to visit on your holiday, we can organise the tour to incorporate those destinations for you. We will have ‘create your own tour’ weeks and weekends throughout the year and all our tours will be lead at a pace to suit YOU; your group will be lead by a guide of a similar standard.

We will also be organising occasional trips to the French Pyrenees, a region Andrea grew to know and love very much during the summer of 2016.

Dates and tariffs will be announced on the tour information page in the Autumn of 2017.
Weekend break? Or simply a day trip… you will be able to find all the information you need on this website to ensure you have the best time on two wheels in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Hospitality

We are proud of our hospitality at Cycling Tours of Yorkshire and strive like no other to ensure our guests have the most pleasurable experience during their stay. From the comfiest of beds, hot showers, delicious food, log fires (when needed!) and the best views, to somewhere safe to store your pride and joy and a team mechanic to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout your holiday.
A true Yorkshire welcome is guaranteed by all our accommodation providers, restaurants and cafe stops en route. We aim to provide the touring cyclist with everything they need to create the most memorable experience in Yorkshire possible.
